This story happened in 2013. I moved to Boston in 2012 and my long-distance relationship ended after a messy breakup over a period of six months. For the next year I swore off relationships, went to gym religiously, ran half and full marathons and got really healthy in general, along with building some muscle. I am average (everything tbh) looking guy 5’11’’.
After a year and half, I was setup on a blind date (yes those used to happen!) by some friends. I was excited about the date, groomed myself well, wore a nice blazer and showed up to the restaurant on time. Erica (my date) was already there. She was 5’2’’ with small boobs and big ass, we are both 27 at the time. She was not stunningly attractive, but she has a pleasantness to her. I was having a great day that day. All the punchlines to my jokes landed. I could recollect minute details of random things for witty comebacks. Erica on the other hand was quiet in general but attentive and importantly she laughed at my jokes, which made my day even better. At the end of the dinner, we went our separate ways and she texted at the end of the night saying she had a great time and I reciprocated.
