The curtains sway lazily as the warm sea air drifts into the hotel room as you open the door and step inside. You put your bag down and sigh contentedly, happy to have finally arrived. The sun falls softly through the bay window as it begins to sink below the horizon, making its way through the light cotton curtains. The room is filled with the sound of the gently breaking waves and a sharp, salty aroma.
You throw your bags onto the floor and walk slowly to the open balcony. The sounds of the ocean and soft furnishings of the bed and furniture instil a calmness which settles over you as the door closes.
You turn and smile, the soft breeze flicking your hair across your face and catching the light blue summer dress, pinning the bottom hem against your thighs for a brief moment.
I walk towards you and put my arms around your waist, softly pulling you into me. You rest your head against my shoulder, close your eyes and feel the warmth of my body against yours. You feel safe, content, calm as my lips gently kiss your forehead. The soothing atmosphere envelopes us in a comforting glow and the warm breeze passes over your skin, golden and tanned.
