This happened about a year ago, and it’s 100% true. I’m not a writer so I apologize if I’m not as descriptive as other stories on here, but I just wanted to share the experience.
I was laying around at home watching tv as usual, when I got a text saying “is that you behind me?” From my ex wife’s friend, Rachel (we had divorced a few months before this, things were still kind of raw). Rachel likes to drive around country roads and drink and I guess she saw a pair of headlights that looked like my car, in hindsight she was obviously just trying to find a reason to text me. I reply “no, I’m at home.” And don’t think anything of it. She starts a conversation about what I’m up to and says she’s drinking. I tell her she shouldn’t be drinking and driving and the conversation eventually turns into her asking me if I want to drive her around since I’m sober. I agree and she picks me up a few minutes later. (She was in my neighborhood so that’s another sign she had this planned out.).
