Two Birds of a Feather: An Animal Crossing Story [mm] [birds]

Brewster was a bird of few words; Blathers, too many. Yet their improbable love carried them through the darkest times of Tom Nook’s Reign of Terror.

Blathers may have been a blow hard, but he was wiser than the average owl. He knew when Nook came to power that he would soon become a social outcast. He made a measured decision to hide his lifestyle and make himself useful to the regime.

He was an Entomologist by trade. He knew that Nook made plans to hop from island to island, pillaging resources to sell for profits in order to fund his war machine back on the mainland. One of the most profitable industries was underground fossil sales. He approached Nook and made a proposal. He would assess and collect fossils under the guise of running a museum, and funnel all the fossils through Nook’s company store, Nook’s Cranny, where it could then be sold onto the Black Market.

The scheme was an enormous success and Blathers soon rose in notoriety as Nook’s right hand man.

Yet he held onto his secret, fearful that this delicate arrangement could come crashing down at any moment were he discovered.

[m/f] Twin Towers of Love: a 9/11 story

If they could make a love story about Titanic or Pearl Harbor, I can make one about 9/11 so buckle up. This one will be a wild ride.

Greg and Hope had only been together a few weeks. Greg had two tickets to a few weeks. Greg was a Los Angeles native, Hope hailed from New York. They had come to know each other from AOL chat rooms and instant messenger. Over the course of months, they spoke endlessly. They talked about their goals, futures, kids, houses, careers. After some time, they decided to meet. Greg was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Since his old team, The Los Angeles Rams, had moved to St. Louis, he found comfort in the high flying offense of Peyton Manning and Edgerrin James. Hope didn’t follow football very closely, but she grew up in a Jets household. Her father idolized Broadway Joe Namath and spoke endlessly about the failures of their front office.

Sensing an opportunity, Greg made a suggestion. The Colts were set to play the Jets on September 9th in New York. It would be a perfect opportunity to meet. He talked it over with Holly and she agreed. He purchased plane tickets and bought two tickets to the game.

A trip to the museum

They lay there together, boy and girl. It was the morning after a night of many firsts. The sun crept in through the shades, illuminating her figure. She lay on her side, facing away from him. He watched as she breathed. Her shoulders rose and fell with each gentle breath. This beautiful woman who showed him love. He delicately caressed her shoulder. She stirred and trembled. He pulled her close. They held each other and basked in the little sunbeam.

Finallt, she stirred and tied her hair up in a pony tail. “Come on, let’s go to the museum.”

They sat together over breakfast. As he ate his toast, he noticed a change. Everything was different, and yet nothing had changed. Perhaps *he* had changed. Perhaps *she* changed him. He saw her slender fingers sitting on the table. Her hand was open, waiting. She didn’t know what for. He took it and gazed into her eyes. They said nothing but communicated everything. His finger delicately danced on her wrist as she met his gaze with a smile.

They walked hand in hand to the museum. It was a special Saturday show. She loved to admire the oil paintings.
