I needed a ride from work one day to pick up my car that had some work done and a former coworker of mine was more than willing to lend a hand. I thanked her and we exited the building just like it was any other night. The shop I had taken my car too wasn’t that far but the walk on that humid July night would have been horrible.
We arrived and I exited the vehicle thanking her again for the ride. To my surprise she turned her car off and got out. She skipped playfully to the other side of the car and stopped me as I grabbed the keys from under the floor mat and proceeded to sit in the driver seat.
Yanking on my arm she practically pulled my entire body out back into the balmy evening air. I shut the door and smiled and she gripped my hand tightly leading me toward the building.
“Let’s walk a little before we leave. I’ve been sitting all day.” She said as she steered my further back behind the building.
“Sure.. That sounds good to me.”
