Sarah and I met on Tinder. From our banter I pretty quickly realized that she enjoyed trying to get a rise out of me. One minute she’d say “you should just come over and fuck my brains out,” and the next she’d say “lol I’d never meet up with a guy I met on Tinder.” Most of the time I wouldn’t be interested in someone that seemed like they were just passing time being a tease, but she was very cute and most of her banter was pretty funny. She was a militant atheist and had many of the same feelings about living in the small-ish conservative town as I did. We eventually exchanged phone numbers and set up a late dinner date.
When I got to the restaurant five minutes early she was sitting in a booth and clearly a little bit tipsy. She admitted so freely, and said “yeah man it’s not really my style to meet some guy I don’t even know so I brought this,” pulling a flask from her purse. She was exactly what I thought, a shy girl that compensated by being edgy.
