[30M] A true story from years ago…

As I walked down the trail, the butterflies were fluttering around my stomach so violently, I felt as I would puke. It was always like this right before I got to see her, so my body has sort of learned to adjust to the feeling, which I was thankful for. On the outside, I have always looked calm and collected, but I was in the middle of a hurricane on the inside. God, how I loved the feeling.

The sun had dipped below the horizon some time ago, to the point where it was nearly pitch black out. There was just enough light for me to see her there, standing on the bridge we have always met on, staring out at the creek it traversed. A gorgeous specimen, with blonde hair and deepest blue eyes. She wore a tank top and a skirt that I’m sure some would find much too short. Subconsciously, my pace had quickened to nearly a job. I needed every second I could get with her.
