I’ll try to keep this as short as possible, so that I can elaborate on the story more when somebody messages me, but I do want to get across the basics of something that happened this past week, something I thought for sure someone would want to hear about.
I have an older sister, and though both of us have long moved out of home, we still occasionally find ourselves living with our parents, usually for short periods of time between finding other places to live, but very rarely at the same time.
Recently, however, we both found ourselves living there together for what would ultimately be a month, and she’s staying longer than I am, as she always has, and probably always will.
While we’ve been staying at my parents’ house, they’ve been away on vacation, so we’ve had the whole thing pretty much to ourselves. Which has been really, really nice.
It also meant that when a male friend of mine needed somewhere for his younger brother to stay (due to a complicated series of things I won’t waste your time explaining), we were able to happily offer him a room for a couple of weeks.
