Later that day, the Girls gathered together in the Circle for lunch. Beth was itching to get something off her chest.
“Ladies,” Beth intoned as soon as they were seated, “I’ve been thinking about it, and I don’t want to wait.” She paused. “About Phase 2.”
Laurie and Rebecca just looked at one another with raised eyebrows. “Really, Liz?” Laurie asked. “What changed your mind?”
“I just… I dunno,” Beth looked down, averting their gaze. “So far, all this has been TONS of fun, and hearing all of your stories, well… I just want to try it, y’know?”
Stacey sighed. “Me, too.”
Becky looked over at her. “Really? You too?”
“Yeah, you’re not gonna chicken out again, are you?” Laurie teased.
Stacey glared at her. “NO.”
“So why YOUR change of heart?” Laurie asked.
“I… I want to know what its like, that’s all.”
“No. I don’t buy it. “ Becky said. “You were so convincing yesterday, Stace. You made us all agree to cool it, remember?”
“That you did!” Laurie interjected. “Cmon, spill. What really happened?”
Stacey looked at Beth. “Tell them,” Beth encouraged her.
