I put on my shoes and grab my jacket. I don’t think I’ll need it, but you never know what the weather will do. There’s nobody around, so I shout towards the stairs. “I’m taking a walk! Be back in an hour or so!” I walk towards the front door. “Okay, honey! We’re having visitors later today. You don’t mind, do you?” My aunt shows up in the hall. “Our friends Tom and Nadia are coming this afternoon. I’m sure you’ll like them.” I smile at her. “No doubt, aunt.” I wave at her and turn around to start my walk. Soon my mind wanders. While I walk over the beach, I think about the freedom I feel when I’m at my uncle and aunt’s place and I wonder why that is.
