This is the start of the story Going medieval on my Boyfriend, it will take a few parts to cover all that happened before, during and after the event. As usual my stories are a long read. I hope you enjoy!
Do you know those medieval / fantasy fairs? Or maybe renaissance fairs? Well picture it like this, usually this takes place on the castle grounds of some sort of castle (or whatever passes for it). And it involves loads of people, lots of costumes and weapons, barrels of booze and beer, good food and music and overall, a very free atmosphere.
People don’t judge others in these kinds of events, they are all there for the same reason, to have a great time and enjoy themselves! Usually, these events span a weekend or more, so it’s common that people stay on camping grounds in the area or in hotels. You’ll see people from all ranges and ages of society, from the wealthy bank CEO dressed up as Merlin to the awkward emo boy from first grade high school that’s dressed up as a (skinny) Viking.
