The Instant messenger box popped up with a cheery “Hello!”. I was joining the conversation in an internet chat room because I was bored out of my mind that evening. Karen had taken notice of the conversation and checked my online profile out. Apparently, she liked what she saw because it was her who messaged me first. I checked her profile out and there was nothing for me to learn about her. In fact, I don’t remember seeing if she had her gender noted. Regardless, she was being very friendly and I was happy to reciprocate.
