In College I used to work for this discount shoe store, it was a well known chain so I’m gonna leave the name out. Like pretty much every retail job, it sucked. People treat you like shit and you get paid nothing, but I was 20 and needed money so I stuck with it.
One day this woman comes in with a young son. She was in her early 30s by the looks of her, she was dressed pretty modestly in some older looking clothes, but she had a pretty face, jet black hair and I couldn’t help but notice her rather large breasts (gimme a break I was 20). My first impression of her was she gave off very “nice mom” vibes. That was confirmed soon after. They asked me to help them pick out shoes and after a string of rude customers they were a breath of fresh air. The woman, who told me her name was Sarah, was polite and friendly and her little boy was a charmer.
We finish up and I ring her up and tell her the total and she looks up at me like she’s about to cry.
