Last September I started college. Its a world famous university and I was so excited when they accepted me because the number of foreign kids they accept is really low.
My scholarship covered all my tuition but not my room and board. The average salary in my country is like less than the room and board fee, so I started looking at cheaper ways to live near campus.
I posted my situation in a bunch of facebook groups, asking for help. One guy, Jake, responded to me saying that he is a senior at the same college and shares a house with several other students. I could stay for free as long as I did all the chores. He warned me it would be a lot since 4 people lived there. This was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, I jumped at the opportunity.
What Jake didn’t mention was that all 4 of them were guys. When I got there, it was very awkward being around guys 24/7. I never even had a bf before. The guys were very excited to have a clueless girl around. Everyone wanted to talk or help or whatever. I slowly let my guard down and started appreciating them.
