I started a new job in September. I was assigned a “mentor.” He’s a guy who’s about 10 years younger than I am, but has been working at this place for some time. His job was to show me the ropes and get me acclimated. We instantly became friends. I’m a fairly friendly and outgoing person, and he’s quite a bit more reserved and introverted, but for whatever reason we were just a perfect match. We also very quickly became quite a bit flirty with each other. Nothing too overt at first, just compliments on clothing, activity, working out etc.
One day as the work day was over and the two of us were in our tiny office, off the beaten path where no one ever really comes, we had been staying late trying to get ahead on some work. It was just a normal after work kind of conversation, some complaining about our bosses and some workplace gossip.
I was kind of fishing for a compliment and I off-handedly said that I thought my pants made my butt look big that day. My co-worker, (we’ll call him Christian), decided to comment “You think so? I can’t really tell when you’re sitting down.” I was obviously already feeling a bit playful, so I stood up next to him and turned around so he could see my butt, and said “See…”
