To preface this story, i’ll let you know that I work at a place that is fly-in only. The company I work for owns the plane and we have the same flight crew, almost every flight.
I started there in 2017 and eventually got to know all the flight crew in a first-name basis. Especially (we’ll call her) Veronica.
Veronica is your librarian-type, about 5’6″ with a slender build and large-framed glasses. That may not sound like much, but she is extremely cute and has a very bubbly personality. She has strawberry blonde hair and looks very appealing in her flight attire, red scarf and all. I’m 5’10”, 165lbs with a handsome face.
She and I hit it off right away, and me being the security who works the apron (loading and unloading passengers), we started to get to know each other in 15 minute intervals over the course of the last 2 years. After about a year of this, she ended up telling me she was married, in passing. I was slightly disappointed, but never truly pursued her anyways out of respect and professionalism. Our relationship had been strictly platonic, and only existed at work. This went on for another year and she would drop hints like “Let me know the next time you’re playing! I’ll come see you!” (I’m a musician, in my off time.)
