I was sitting in my building’s dog park a little later than usual, which was fine by me, because it was just me and my puppy. When I noticed her attention shift to the walkway I knew that meant someone else was coming in and was slightly annoyed that I may have to make small talk.
I was sitting at an angle that made me a little difficult to see and the woman who walked down looked a little confused at first to see this lone pup. Then she saw me and waved “damn it” I thought, but she must be new because I didn’t recognize her or her dog. She came over and sat next to me “hi, how are you?” “Good I replied” hoping to make the conversation brief, but our dogs were playing so I figured I’d let mine tire herself out.
