The warning: I wish this night could’ve ended up different.
The Back Story
Obviously, names are not real. So a quick recap before I dive in, I’m working next to the strip and I had no intentions on making it out because work has left me tired and unmotivated to burn it down and gamble. With that being said, I’m still here for the boys and be the wingman as I should. A few days before we have the weekend off, I DM’d my ex wife on instagram, lets call her Otter Pop, and ask her what the best spots were here, where to eat, and so on. Turns out, she’s enroute to Vegas too. We exchanged numbers (she still has mine) and we schedule for the meet up.
The Hello
I’m walking through the Wynn, trying to find my way around and a very familiar voice yells out my name, “Creese!” I stop and turn, and as I’m shifting my eyes through the 100s of people in the Casino, Otter pop is there walking a family member to the front desk. I make eye contact and it begins, memory lane from 13 years ago bombard my head, to include all the good and the bad. We say hi, do a little hug, and she says to meet back after she drops her family off.
