For the accidental reader who read some of my last other posts, this is a snippet from the book I'm writing. It still involves the magical golden whistle, but is now written from the perspective of the main character, Brenda Cummings.
I never figured David would be more nervous than I feel, but as soon as he walks in, he reminds me of an awkward teenager. To be fair, knowing you’ll have to please two women at the same time must be quite the cross to bear. I love the way he looks. He must be well over six foot three, with his long thick dark hair almost falling to his shoulders. The generous laugh with which he introduced himself to me showed a perfect row of white teeth, and he’s got the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. I can totally picture him and Lisa getting it on together, which is technically only a few minutes away. It’s clear he’s not used to being this awkward, but his impressive stature has to get used to the tension in the room.
