Bartering: exchanging of goods and services for other goods and services without the use of money [MF]

I was on time for my scheduled haircut, but Sharon, my stylist of 3 years, was not. “I’m sorry, this color is taking more time than I thought. Reina doesn’t have any Clients right now – why don’t you see her. I’d rather you not wait around, and because of the inconvenience, this one is on the house.” I had only seen Reina around the shop, but I’d never gotten a cut from her.

“Does she cut as well as you do?”

“Yep, you can trust her.”

Reina was attractive. Vietnamese, 5’2″ and 110 lbs. She was busty and made sure the twins were emphasized, with an overall appearance that screamed “ABG.”

Sharon shouted to the back of the shop, “Reina! Can you come to the front?” Moments later, Reina appeared. “This is Jay. I’m running over, so do you mind cutting his hair?” I shook her hand with a firm grasp and introduced myself. She smirked, and said, “I know who you are – you’re Sharon’s Client, right? I’ve seen you here before.”
There was definite tension and I could sense mutual chemistry. During the cut, we had friendly, neutral conversation. “What else do you have planned for the day?” she asked.
“After this, I’m gonna head home and change my oil. Nothing exciting…”
“Oh, really? You know how to do that? I have to pay a shop to change mine, and it’s like $50.”
