I made it back home pretty frustrated, really. Things with Mandy did not go as I hoped, and in the confusion at the end of the night I didn’t even get her friends’ name or number that I made out with. I didn’t really know what I had with Mandy, but whatever it was, it was gone now.
I turned on the tv and started dozing off as it was about 2 am, when I heard a knock at the door. Bewildered, I opened it to find Mandy. Her car was in my driveway, so it was obvious she was an idiot and drove drunk to my place. She had her head tilted slightly and was biting her lip looking at me.
“Hey, I’m sorry about all that back there. I get a little carried away when I drink. I didn’t want to drive back to my place, is it ok if I stay here tonight?”
I invited her in. Still not sure what she was thinking, I told her I’d sleep on the couch and she could sleep in my bed.
“Oh, that won’t be necessary. I’m needing something a bit more tonight from you.”
