I’ve always been talented and athletic for my age. Because of this, I’ve been playing volleyball at a high level as long as I can remember. In middle school, I played for the local high school’s varsity team. In high school, I was the only ranked player on my team nationally.
One of the social side effects to being talented, is jealousy from my peers. Coaches always held me on a higher plane than the rest of my teams throughout high school, and because of this, I was never really embraced by the team as a friend off the court.
The girls on my team talked constantly behind my back, and because of this, I rarely got any attention from the guys at my school. I spent my time practicing and doing homework, so between that and the talking, I was never sexually active. I rarely even had time to pleasure myself.
I thought this would change when I chose to go to a small, division-one college. Nobody knew me, and the talent level was higher.
I was wrong.
