The Storm.

A warm breeze pushed apart the curtains, brightening up the room and breathing in the smell of a rain.

My eyes opened up as the window sucked the curtain back towards it, creating a new seal of darkness as the curtain wrapped itself around the edges of the window. Only long enough to catch the wave of the next warm breath of wind to enter the room. Parting the curtains again so elegantly.

I rolled over and was met by your soft, curly hair spread over the pillows. The red hues illuminated when the breeze brought in the new waves of light.

I wrapped my arm around your midsection, simultaneously inching myself closer and pulling your body closer to mine. Nuzzling my face into your hair, I searched for the side of your neck to press my lips in your skin and my hips further into your back side.

You let out a soft moan as you rolled over, leaving your face less than an inch from mine. Your eyes yet to open, they creased as your cheeks pulled up a subtle smile.
