I just got out of a relationship and headed to a local bar not too far from campus. I had a few drinks and started talking up a guy about random stuff when a woman approached us. I had assumed (correctly) that it was his wife. I complemented her on her looks and at one point we separated since I didn’t want to feel like I’m a third wheel in their conversation. After spending a bit of time chatting up a few of the other folks at the bar, I was planning on heading back since it was getting late. I wanted to say goodbye to the first couple I chatted with as a courtesy.
The woman was seated alone at a table. I could see the second glass still had a bit of alcohol, so I assumed the guy went to the bathroom. I approached and asked how her night was going and made a comment on how her husband is taking his time in the restroom. She vaguely mentioned how “it’s not that kind of relationship, I’m open to dating other men.” I don’t know how it didn’t register with me at the time; it must have been the alcohol. Thinking she’s available, I went ahead and gave her a few more compliments and she reciprocated with comments on how I looked. I mentioned how I workout to unload my “pent up frustration” after my recent breakup. She responded that she could help me with that. That’s where things got hot. I knew I was going to score.
