Do you like writing/speaking erotica?

When I see porn, I often think about the people who don’t *really* want to be there; those that are just doing it for drugs, money, because they were talked into it, non-consenting, or for whatever reason don’t actually desire to participate in the making of that video/picture.

It’s led me to thinking, is there anyone here (in the erotica world) who doesn’t actually want to do what they’re doing?

I can imagine writing for money wouldn’t be very successful, so am assuming that people are here because they like writing/speaking.

Is this a fair assumption, or am I being incredibly naive?

Sorry in advance for mobile formatting etc.

  1. Though I have yet to post here, I personally love to write, and enjoy writing erotica. It’s not terribly lucrative for me these days, but in the past I was making $500 a month writing stories and selling them online, sort of casually and without really trying too hard. Decent writers who can also hack marketing their stories can do fairly well, though there’s so much gamesmanship and drama in the erotica/romance market I ended up removing myself from it. It sometimes becomes more of a “how can I beat the Amazon system” process than a writing process, which is not where my motivations rest.
