This is a University of British Columbia study being conducted on Sexual Victimization. The principle investigator for this study is Jan Cioe, Psychology Department, University of British Columbia, Okanagan, (jan.cioe@ubc.ca). The co-investigators are Larissa Just, Psychology Department, University of British Columbia, Okanagan (ljust@mail.ubc.ca), Crystal Munday, Psychology Department, University of British Columbia, Okanagan (crystalmundy@alumni.ubc.ca), and Evanya Musolino, Psychology Department, University of British Columbia, Okanagan (evanya.musolino@ubc.ca). The following study will compare characteristics of men and women who are more susceptible to sexual coercion. Participation is restricted to those residing in North America, who are fluent in English and can read at a Grade 7 level, and who are 18 years of age or older. I’m no way afflicted with this survey but as someone who has conducted surveys of my own, I highly urge everyone to take this! The general rule is, the more data, the better!
This survey could be the next breakthrough on how to prevent sexual assault or/and sexual violence. Please participate (honestly)! The terms of agreement clearly give all participants the right to withdraw if they feel uncomfortable so there is nothing to lose!
Done, it might be a good idea to ask about peoples current relationship status since a lot of the questions asked I would have answered differently if I were single vs long term relationship.
