After the cliffhanger the first book left us on, I was seriously excited to pick this one up, and it didn’t disappoint. I heartily recommend it for the characters, the drama, and the exquisitely explicit sex.
The book had great tie-ins with Sarah’s other series, and there were parts that really hit me in the feels. The writing is top-notch. And if the cover didn’t make it obvious, this one definitely earns the “swashbuckling” label. It’s a hell of a fun, steamy ride.

The second part of Shayera and Mirek’s fantastic adventure continues exactly what I loved about the last part: Snarky humor, hot sex scenes and epic fights and lore. One of the best things about Sarah’s books apart from the awesome sex scenes and beautiful romance is her talent for detail and world building that makes her fictional universe feel alive and connected.
A must read for every fantasy fan who likes amazing sexy stories!
