Serene silence is broken only by the scream of a young man as he runs in horror. Blood dripping down his right side as he rushes past while taking glances in hopes of outrunning his unseen attacker. “Help me!” he screamed desperately as his pursuer neared. Knowing he couldn’t keep this up any longer, he began looking around for someplace to hide in hopes it would run past him. It was then he spotted a thick bush up ahead, and he pushed all of his energy into one final spurt.
He felt as if his sides were splitting, his lungs on fire, and each breath came harder than the last as he slides directly under it. At first, he lies silently in wait, listening, watching as he begins to catch his breath. The fire in his lungs is quenching with each breath until he’s able to breathe deep and calmly. Lying there for what seemed like hours, he soon remembered the wound in his neck. Shakily he placed a hand to his neck as he ran the events of the last few hours through his mind. He had gone with a group of friends to a bar, his friends their life eyes flashing before him. Their bloodied faces, their screams, a twig snapping in the distance snaps him back to reality. Quietly he peers through the branches of the bush but sees nothing in the darkness. Content that he hadn’t been spotted yet, he pulled some cloth from the remains of his tattered shirt in hopes of slowing the bleed from his neck.
Yet as soon as the cloth touched his neck, he screamed in unbearable agony, the wound feeling like a raging inferno. “Found you,” he growled before pulling the young man from beneath the bush and pinning him against a nearby tree knocking the wind from his lungs. “Who or what are you?” he squeaked while attempting to pull air back into his lungs. “I’m Mathias, not that it matters anyway.” chuckling as he said this, Mathias couldn’t help but admire the fit hunk before him.
Just the thought of taking him right there was almost too much for even a seasoned predator like him. It seemed a shame to end such a fine piece of meat, but as his mentor once told him, never meet anyone you don’t plan to kill and leave no witnesses. “What’s your name, handsome?” Mathias said as he ran his cold hand down the young man’s cheek, causing him to shiver in response. “A-Alex.” he stammered as Mathias moved a hand down to examine a sightly bulge starting to form in Alex’s pants.
