I’m hoping I can get some advice on erotica writing and possibly on a story I’m writing?

I am hoping I can get some pointers from a fellow erotica writer. I’ve written before (total amateur stuff and also some long stories I had submitted to other sites that kept getting denied because of some content people didn’t appreciate but, I’ve worked on that, now and tamed it out a lot.) But, I never got as into it as recently and I just want them to be well written. I love to write, especially erotic stories. I don’t want to be under or overly descriptive. Can anyone give me advice? Or I can send you what I have worked on so far and You can give me pointers step by step.

  1. A fellow amateur here, but I did study writing.

Honestly, there’s no correct way to write. Some brilliant writers are florid and descriptive, some just give the facts. For writing erotica, I try to work with concepts I find sexy, then look to construct trigger phrases – sentences that turn me on – and deploy them at judicious moments. I figure if it works for me, then it’s probably going to turn someone else on too.

While I think it’s possible to write a thriller or character study that everyone could enjoy, erotica is niche. You couldn’t write something for everyone. So work to your kinks and trust you’re not alone!
