I’ve never read an erotic novel and don’t know where to start!
Some specifications: Hetero and female POV. Not rapey or BDSM, but consensual masculine initiation is fine. Fleshed out characters and a well-written romantic plot-line is ideal, but also a decent amount of sex scenes. I really enjoyed Twilight and The Host as a teen and would probably enjoy most any vampire/alien/sci-fi type novels.

The Sleeping Beauty series from Anne Rice. Belinda and Exit to Eden by her are also great.
