Wedding Photographer Guessing Game
I’m a photographer and run my own studio. I shoot about 20 wedding a year and have had some fun and interesting stories. But none quite like this.
I start my day at the hotel with the group of bridesmaids and the bride. As a male photographer. When it’s time to start changing into dresses. It’s my cue to go take a quick five minute break.
So I’m walking down the hall and post up at the end of the hall. It’s a dead end with nothing but a window and a chair. Perfect spot to get off my feet for a bit. Within a minute of sitting down, I start hearing it. The normal sounds of a couple getting hot and heavy. I’m sure many of us have been there before. Neighbors. Roommates. Other hotel guests. How vocal this women on the other side of the door was drove me up a fucking wall. I was immediately turned on and sat there listening for the next five minutes.
The biggest issue is when i shoot weddings I’m usually in dress pants with a tucked in shirt. Which means i had to walk back into that room once the girls were ready with the biggest wet spot on the front of my pants. There was nothing i could do to hide it.
The best part of the entire story though was the fact that i got to spend the entire night at the wedding trying to guess what couple was behind that door since the entire floor was booked for the wedding. It was quite the fun little game.
