Genetic selection

Have societal norms weakened the human races gene pool? The following opinions are to merely challenge thoughts we’ve been taught socially from birth. Society guidelines teach us that partnering for social reasons i.e. companionship comes first. We are even put under pressure that it is beneficial to seek companionship from one individual.
Sexual pleasure from that person is seen as a valuable commodity and shared exclusively with each other. Then to take it a step further we enter a public social contract, marriage. This is all done for the purposes of companionship, entertainment, social status and oh of course reproduction. This is where I start to call in to question the flaws in putting companionship at the top of coupling priorities. As a society we struggle with diseases , obesity, allergies, mental dysfunctions and deformities . Should we be entrusting our genetics to social selection the coupling of people on baseless emotions. So now let’s talk about the other side . Nature , nature is fascinating and powerful we have opinions about it but it’s really a force outside of our control! It decides life and death and all things in between. In the wild we see nature control population with factors such as we previously discussed disease and defects..and so on. We have coined a term for this natural weeding as survival of the fittest. But natural selection goes deeper than that doesn’t it? The human body is absolutely amazing in what it can achieve. I’m not speaking from the angle of cognitive abilities. Rather speaking about its natural instinctual and autonomous abilities. Like the unseen ability for our ears to momentarily deaden a noise that may be damaging to us. Reflexes that may allow us escape from injury. Subconscious reaction to stimuli that ultimately protect us. There a billions of processes at work that go unnoticed. Some of which are directly related to something socially we ignore. Natural selection through primal instinctual breeding. Did you know that during ovulation a woman’s desire and presences for a sexual partner can change? Is this because instinctively her body knows how to genetically select a suitable breeder, I think so . It’s been suggested that unconsciously a man can detect ovulation. Another clue that nature has built in triggers for breeding other that just sexual pleasures. I could go on and on about how the body can manipulate and engineer genetics . The point is I think that as a society we need to think about reconnecting with nature on an instinctual level.
