(M4F) Late Night Wife-Switch

Different departments did not do much to stratify the workforce when they lived across the street from one another. Sure, Anthony did not exactly love the idea of living within spitting distance of the guy from Human Resources, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse. They got along well enough, and even started to speak to one another as if they were friends, in a twisted colleague-neighbour sort of way, even with them being opposites. Michael, for all his niceties, was just that; vanilla. Kind enough, soft-spoken, and well-mannered. It served him well. He had a respectable job and all the benefits that came with it; wife included. Anthony, on the other hand, was a little more callous. He was not a jerk by any means, but if one believed in humans adopting a system as trivial as alphas and Betas, Anthony was not a Beta. So, despite their differences, they got along well. “I’m not so sure.” Michael continued. Anthony looked at him with a half-frown, furrowing his brow.

Anthony was not the kind of man that would force his friend into a scenario, but he pushed for it because he knew, somewhere deep down in that timid shell, Michael wanted to try it. Even more so during this business party as they spoke to one another, nursing their drinks though nobody quite seemed to know what they were talking about. Their conversation went on until Michael’s spouse came into their field of view, both men clearly appreciating just how attractive she really was. She seemed like the kind of woman that would have those looks for years to come, and even Anthony could not shake this sense of envy at how lucky the H.R. representative was to have a wife like her. Not that he did not appreciate his own wife, of course. He loved her, but a man can browse from time to time, can’t he? Anthony seemed to stop himself mid-sentence once the woman got close enough, flashing her a confident grin.
