I’m finally about to start a erotica series’s I’ve always wanted to write but one thing I’m having trouble with is planning out the dialogue.
Any advice to help develop dialogue? Do you type what comes to mind first or plan it out first?

Write the whole thing with only minimal dialogue where you need it. Then go back and edit to add in dialogue where you think it fits or is needed.
I’m also a beginner looking to improve. Particularly with my last few stories I haven’t seen them gain traction and I’m looking for ways to write more engaging dialogue.
What I’m trying to do is read more stories that I like with good dialogue and trying to see how I can emulate pacing/ natural feel of conversation while moving plot forward.
Please space out the dialogue appropriately especially if posting to Reddit. For me that’s a quick way to kill my interest if it’s hard to follow.
Something like
“Hi”
“Hello”
“I’m sun”
“I’m shine”
You get the point. And also as someone said use the minimal needed to convey the flow of the story. Like a skirt: short enough to get you hooked long enough to not reveal everything.
If interested i can show you some extremely old works that i have that you could reference. I wouldn’t even care if you took them as your own and redid them lol
Good luck
This article helped me immensely when I started writing dialog. I don’t agree with all the examples that the op uses but it’s a tremendous toolbox.
