About the unavailability of good quality erotica

Probably it’s just my dumb thoughts but I actually think there is a very few good quality erotica out there. A bunch of the greatest stories I’ve ever read has very few reader while many stupid shit has a lot of hype.we should share good quality stories like “The haunting of palmer mansion” by rawlyrawls. It could really motivate a great many writers to come up with new thoughts.
Please don’t think I’m promoting that story on purpose. I really love that one.you all should read it too.share good stuff.happy reading3

  1. Just got to do what you can to push up the quality stuff to the top. Upvote, comment, share, like, subscribe, buy, review, follow, etc.

  2. Agreed. One instant turn off is writing in present tense or second person (I think that’s the correct term) – stories that are like “you take them by the hand”. Absolutely hate it. Dunno why. Just do. And it seems to be really common in erotica

  3. I think that’s all a matter of opinion. Read my piece “Himeros” and tell me what you think.

  4. If there was a writer looking to get into writing erotica, what type of story are you looking for? And how much would you be willing to pay?

  5. 90 percent of everything is garbage is a good rule of thumb. You need to sift through it and hold on tight to the good stuff.

  6. Just wondering, but for you personally, what are the criteria that defines a story as good for you? I’d wager different people with different preferences have different definitions of what makes a story good for them.

  7. I totally get what you mean. A lot of it is unrealistic and I completely get turned off. I understand that some of these scenes and scenarios are not realistic but the manner with which things happen in a story just doesn’t make sense. A good example of this is how interactions with strangers often go in these stories. There is little to no buildup and they just usually jump straight into action with no caution, that just isn’t realistic to me. Usually you would prefer face this with something To make it more believable.

Side note is there a place where I can post erotica I write? This is probably very bias but I think I’m a decent writer and really need a space where I can test that theory in a constructive way.

  8. My wife reads books that are more plot than erotic but very explicit. She told me today if the writing isn’t good enough to stand on its own then she doesn’t read it.

  9. Erotic literature is like sex. Follow me here… the fun is in getting to know the person, what turns them on, what makes them tick, etc…and then the flirting, then the foreplay. Lots of foreplay. In the same way a well developed relationship leads to much better, fulfilling sex, plot development leads to a better story.

That said, sometimes you just want to be bent over the desk and fucked hard, so there’s a place for that, too.

  10. I think its cause writing is very difficult.
Good writing is especially difficult. And then a lot of readers myself included are casual readers and we just want something quick and steamy to get our rocks off. I think this reddit had some true gems when you sort by Top of all time!

That being said I really would like recommendations OP and anyone reading this please write in your favorite or what you feel is underrated stories. I want these for uhh research.

  11. We’re doing our best! Not my fault my favorite kink is forbidden on reddit… Whatever, I have a subscribe star now.

  12. Yo that’s exactly how I feel about this and that’s the story I would give as an example! Wack.
