Hi guys and thanks for dropping in to read my confessional/story.
One which is never spoken about openly amongst my friendship circles.
I’m 26 years old, male and living in the uk.
Born here but heritage wise my mother is from Thailand orginally but been here since the 80s.
I guess partly down to my mothers life choices, personality and partly down to cultural norms outside of the west I grew up around nudity at home and was never such a taboo as it normally is in the uk.
I still bathe with my mother, I still sleep in her bed nude, it’s fair to say by anyone’s standards were pretty tight.
I obviously don’t have a relationship which crosses those lines into an actual relationship however I’m a 26 year old man still showering with his mother on Monday evenings.
My mother also by profession is a licensed sports therapist, many moons ago back in medical school days however she has run a bespoke adult massage business from home alongside her other businesses for around 17 years which I’ve taken a wage from. My dad has no part in the business but I guess money speaks all languages.
So whilst I would never sit here and proclaim that my life is mental day to day I’ve grown up around naked erect men walking down our landing naked. It’s far easier to make peace with that at 26 then when I was coming home from school, picking up an orange juice from the fridge and seeing naked men in my kitchen lol.
Why am I posting this, perhaps a confessional, perhaps I’m just bored, maybe even both but I would be good to speak to some interesting people online about this as my friendship circle is off the table.
I don’t particularly feel guilt, shame or even amazed by it, it is what it is and it’s life but it’s still good once in a while to unload
