We have been in a relationship for a couple of years now. Our relationship has seen its ups and downs but never did we separate. We both have been hectic jobs and do well for ourselves.
Since the lockdown started our physical health just went downhill. We would occasionally go to the gym but with the onset of winters and gyms being closed, we were getting no exercise at all. To top it off, both of our jobs became work from home. So we were stuck in our home all day on our computers. This made our sex lives come to a screeching halt. We would usually go at it about 3-4 times a week but it went down to less than once a month. Our life had become a monotone, so we decided to experiment. We posted on Reddit communities for open-minded people interested in being with us and got some decent responses.
To describe us, we are both in our 20s. Rose is chubby, shy, and 5’2″ on a good day while Sam is dad bod, 5’11”, and a little shy as well. We come from a conservative background so we did not have much exposure to relationships/multiple partners in general.
Coming to the story, it finally happened today. We met a nice couple from Reddit, chatted with them, and decided to meet. Since this was our first time meeting someone non platonically outside our relationship, we decided an open no-pressure spot would be the best. We decided on a beach in Monterey, with its natural beauty and lovely weather it worked like a charm.
To describe the other couple, they were in their early 20s, same ethnic origin, and shared similar interests as ours. Matt just started his job in Silicon valley while his girlfriend Emily is still working on her bachelor’s. Matt has an average body and is probably 5’7″ while Emily is petite and barely manages to be a 5′.
We decided since we were newbies to the whole scene that we would just spend some time together as friends and if we click we could take it further. We both spoke before and planned on having a picnic on the beach. It was a blast, we had tons of food, some drinks, and lots of banter. We spent hours just talking and getting to know each other.
Tired of all the banter, we laid on the beach and just looked at the sky, the magnificent blue water, and gleaming sand in the sunset.
We laid next to each other when Emily casually complimented both of us on our outfits. We did not think much about it, we were dressed rather conservatively for the beach, Rose in a floral summer dress while Sam in shorts and a T-shirt. We thanked her and just complimented her as well. She continued with more compliments and that’s when it struck us, we did come as friends but we had discussed more than that. Since it was already closed to sunset, we waited and watched the sunset and started heading back to our cars. We did want to initiate something but we were not exactly sure. So we continued walking back to our cars. We were parked close so we started chatting again and asked what their plans were for the evening. They mentioned they might watch a movie, have some drinks and call it a night. So we asked if they would want to come to our place, watch a movie together with some wine. They cordially agreed. We both drove to our house, freshened up a bit from all the sand and saltwater, and tuned our sofa into a sleeper to make room for all 4 of us. We poured the drinks, dimmed the lights, made some popcorn, and decided on a movie for the night.
We watched a comedy Bollywood movie, had a good share of our laughs, as we all munched on our popcorn. Towards the end of the movie, we were all exhausted with all the chatting and constant laughs. As we sat in silence half asleep, Emily made the move and suggested we could cuddle and chat a bit more. We were both hesitant as we moved to different partners. It had been years since we touched someone so close. As we cuddled, one thing led to another until we made out with each other’s partners. Emily and Matt wanted to go further but we held back for another time. After lots of makeout and caressing, it was time to say goodbye. As Matt and Emily left, we could not wait.
We jumped into our bed and had the best night of our lives. We are taking this slow, but are excited to feel the butterflies again.
