[FM] My Best Friend’s Dad and I – Update

(Is this how people do updates, or should I be adding this as an edit to my previous story? Regardless, there’s no sex in this story, just an update.)

I grew a pair (of ovaries) and brought it all up to Brent at lunch today.  I told him that I’m sorry if I took things too far but that I had fun, and I was not opposed to repeating the other night, or going further.  Brent echoed the same sentiments, but told me that he’s having a hard time crossing the line.  He has always treated me like his own child.  And while I have a very present father of my own (you all really thrive on daddy issues), Brent has always been like father number 2.

Kevin and I met in kindergarten, and we hit it off right away.  Brent was a single father by then, his wife was dealing with an addiction and decided she needed a fresh start. She’s a part of their lives, but from a distance.   Kevin and I grew up like siblings, and he spent a lot of time at my house when his dad was on work trips.  In high school we used to joke that we were twins, even called ourselves “Kevita”.  I guess I was kind of his “beard”. Kevin had an easy time coming out to his dad, and waited until after high school to be publicly gay.   We went to different universities but we were still super close, and spent our pre-pandemic summers travelling. Brent has always been a constant part of my life. I even called him Uncle Brent growing up – he was that involved in my life.

With all this in mind, Brent decided he needed some time to think. So do I, truthfully. I want to make sure no one gets hurt. And the timing couldnt have been more perfect. Mother nature has blessed me tonight, putting me out of commission for the next 4 to 5 days. So hopefully I’ll have a story for you next week! But I’ll be sure to update regardless.
