I 44[M] accidentally sent a photo to a 37[F]amily friend… and things escalated!

Basically my wife died 6 years ago, so I’ve been catching up for lost time over the past year or two, once my daughters were raised and I was ready myself for getting back into the world. Hot start right? But it’s important to know that before getting into everything, context is sexy I’m sure we’ll all agree?

However trying to meet women has been problematic during a pandemic, and a lot of endeavours have happened online…. initially at least. So while I’m stuck at home I’ve found myself using apps and reddit to meet people, to varying degrees of success.

Anyway, I’d been messaging and getting to know a young woman over the past few weeks, and things had been heating up. She lives about 50km away in a different county, so lockdown rules mean we haven’t been able to travel…. and our needs and desires have to be fulfilled in other ways.

Meanwhile, I’ve had a decent circle of friends keeping an eye on me and my daughters since my wife died and Louise was no different. She was a friend of my wife, who met through work and we’d all become friendly. Perhaps every few months Louise would check in to see how I was doing, my daughters would have babysitted for her kids until this year too. Yes she’s an attractive woman but off limits while my wife was alive obviously and I just never thought of her that way! This night, I get a text asking how I’m doing…. and I reply, thinking not much about it. Mostly because my mind is on Maria who has just sent me a flirty message before her night shift begins.

As a man, it doesn’t take much to distract focus from my friend’s enquiries and I set about taking a mildly flirty pic with my top off. I’m mid 40’s now, but like to keep in shape. Running most days and lift the occasional weight too. Bald, but more out of choice shaving the rogue hairs off. I’ve been told I’m handsome, and if this woman over 10 years younger than me is interested then it can’t be all bad?

My problem is that Louise has just replied with a thoughtful response, and in my excitement to surprise Maria before work…. I send a shirtless photo with the caption of *”Hey….. ?”* to my family friend.

I don’t even realise my mistake for 15 minutes, until my phone pings again with a selfie from Louise with a smirk and raised eyebrow, and just a question mark. I almost die… and try to figure out what to reply back.

Louise has raven black hair. Pretty short with playful blue eyes and kindest smile that would light up any room. She’s also played hockey for years so her body is pretty athletic.

*”Oh I was just wondering if you thought my new bedsheets matched the walls…… and I definitely didn’t message the wrong person. Ahem!”* is what I settle on. Playing it off as a joke and admitting my fuck up.

A few minutes later and I’m waiting to see if I’ve made a friend exceptionally awkward, Louise replies with:

*”Shame, I’d just taken an online interior design course…. but I’d need to see more, if you want my expertise?”*

That was a flirt. Louise had separated from her own husband about a year previously. He worked abroad a lot, and while they were still married, he chose to spend the pandemic in the US working. So Louise was definitely a woman with needs.

Before I could respond she sent another selfie with her pretending to be in deep contemplation. So I take another, standing up this time and revealing more of my naked torso and the room as a whole.

*”Better?”*

From here we engaged in a series of back and forth where Louise’s cleavage is more and more on show, having removed her sweater to reveal a tank top. Until she tells me that it’s a shame my daughter can’t come over to babysit so that she could inspect my room herself. I told her that maybe she should come around some day.

Then she cut the conversation dead with one more snap of her in only a towel. *”Need a shower ?”*

As it happened, I needed one of those myself after that. This happened on Sunday and I needed to share somewhere!
