Diedra and a Lust Demon

Diedra handed the customer their cup of coffee and smiled at them. They moved away without even saying thank you. She sighed and turned to greet the next customer. The breakfast rush was finally coming to a close, so soon she’d be able to read her new book. It was an occult ritual book. She’d found it used at the local thrift store, the owner seemed happy to let her have it. Literally, she got it for free.

After she started reading, the day went pretty quickly. Her bosses didn’t mind her reading as long as it didn’t affect her work. And it never did. They knew she was an odd one, so they never really made comments on what she was reading. Neither did anyone in town. You’d think a small town like this, people would talk, especially since they were all about Jesus.

As she was leaving, her friend Rebecca flagged her down. “Diedra! What are you doing tonight?”

“All I plan to do tonight is cuddle in my chair and read my book.” She replied with a laugh, “Why?” It wasn’t the only thing she was thinking about doing. She’d gotten in some candles and wanted to finally try a ritual. She just wasn’t sure which one she wanted to try first.

“I need a break, would you mind if I came by tonight? Drink some wine, watch a movie or something.”

“Sure. I can pencil you in.” Deidra replied with a laugh.

“Awesome. I’ll see you around 6. I’ll bring pizza.” Rebecca said as she walked back towards the salon she came out of.

Diedra got home and showered and went to the store down the street for wine and snacks. By the time she got back, she had 30 minutes to get into comfy clothes. She decided on a black tank top, a grey sweater that draped off one shoulder, and a pair of sweatpants that had a cuff that caught around the top of your ankles. The doorbell rang as she was closing her bedroom door.

Rebecca had pizza and had brought a few bottles of wine herself. They placed the pizza on the coffee table and started drinking wine while they caught up. It’s been a couple of days since they’d last talked. They decided on a risque show, they both seemed to be a bit frustrated, sexually. Soon, they were very drunk and very horny. They’d never looked at each other sexually, so they didn’t quite know what to do.

Rebecca looked at the table behind the couch and noticed Diedra’s book. “What is that book anyway?”

Diedra glanced in the direction Rebecca was motioning. “That’s a ritual book I picked up at the store today.”

“A ritual book?”

“Yeah, it just has some rituals in it. Conjuring demons and healing things. It’s pretty interesting.”

Rebecca reached over and started flipping through its pages. She settled on a page, and as she read her eyes got brighter and brighter. “Do you think this really works?”

“I have no idea, I’ve never tried it before.”

They set up a circle in the living room with salt. Placed a candle in each of the 5 corresponding locations for the earth, air, water, fire, and spirit. And sat within the circle. Rebecca was fully drunk and giggling. They recited the words in the book over and over. A strange wind blew out the candles and they sat there in the dark. Nothing happened.

Finally, they stood and cleaned up their mess. It hadn’t worked. It was just weird that the candles blew out. They hung out for another hour before Rebecca called a cab. She said she’d be back in the morning for her car. They hugged and Diedra stood on her doorstep as the cab pulled away from the curb.

She was disappointed, she’d hoped that the ritual would have worked. They’d attempted to conjure a lust demon. She wasn’t going to complain if it had worked, she was pretty horny. She wondered if that was because she wanted sex, or because she liked the idea of having sex with a lust demon. Either way, she was horny and needed to do something about it.

She moved to her nightstand and was about to open it when she heard a soft, yet intimidating voice. “You called me.” She turned and across from her bed, in her chair, sat a man she didn’t know.

“I’m sorry?” She said, a little afraid, but mostly curious.

“You. Called. Me. Why?” He asked, tilting his head to the side. Confused.

“Are you the lust demon?”

He laughed. “I’m one of the lust demons. You could have gotten someone worse than me. You’re lucky it was me.”

“And why is that.”

“Most lust demons don’t bother with talking, they just take.”

“Take what?” Diedra asked.

“Take what they lust for.” He replied, he stood up and walked to Diedra, towering over her. He gripped her chin and pulled her face up to look at his. He was the most beautiful man that she’d ever laid eyes on. His dark hair was thick and soft, and his face was sharp in the right places, yet there was a delicateness about him.

His eyes shone like dark pools in a cave. She got lost in his eyes, not fully realizing they were as black as night. “See…” he started, “I like to talk to my victims, find out what they like, make this an enjoyable experience for both of us. You’d be surprised how much a person can like being used up. And it means I can feed for a while instead of only doing it at night, in a dream. It’s more powerful if the person is a willing victim. “

“You say, victim…”

“Well, you are, a victim. I’ve come here to have you, and have you I will, whether you like it or not. I’m just giving you the option to work with me here.”

She looked off, thinking, finally he pulled her face back. “What do you think?” He asked. “Willing, or no?”

Diedra smiled. “Willing.”
