I [F] accidentally showed my brother my nudes

This happened three years ago on Christmas Eve, when I was 22 and home for the holidays.

My brother had been living in the UK with his wife since his early 20’s, but a recent divorce brought him home for the holidays.

My hometown is painfully small. There’s about 200 people in total and none of my high school friends hang around there for Christmas. So I was actually pretty excited to have my brother there to catch up with.

It had been our first time together since I was in High school and he was acting really weird about me being all grown up. He couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that I was legal drinking age and kept mixing me drinks throughout the night.

At some point his divorce came up and we ended up in a deep conversation until about 2am into the night. My parents and sister had gone to bed and it was just us in the living room. He offered to change the topic to something a little less depressing then and started quizzing me on my life.

I knew i was completely intoxicated at this point. I was having trouble following the conversation and I kept laughing at everything. He was asking me about a recent trip to Peru and I took out my phone to show him some photos. I handed it to him to let him scroll through because there were so many (literally hundreds). He was scrolling through them as we talked about the trip and he kept commenting about how beautiful it was there, but soon the conversation died and he kept scrolling. It must have took me at least five minutes in my drunken stupor to even realize he was acting strangely, he’s never quiet. Eventually he handed the phone back and we continued our talk.

Fast forward two-weeks and I’m scrolling through my photos, deleting bad xmas and vacation pictures. When I get to the end I find a set of nude photos that I was sure I had deleted from my phone. I immediately thought of my brother and how he went silent while scrolling. He 100% seen the whole collection. They were for the guy I had been dating before Peru. There were full frontal shots, and photos of me touching myself. I was mortified and still am to this day.

We haven’t seen each other since. He moved back to the UK later that year and hasn’t been home for a visit. He’s coming home this year for Christmas and I can’t stop thinking about what he’s seen. I don’t know if I’ll be able to look him in the eyes.
