Kim and I continued to chat after our first meetup. This was the first time either of us had sex outside of our marriages and so the excitement was palpable. I believe it was the following day after our first meetup that Kim was doing some shopping and wanted to just see me. So I met her in the parking lot of the stores where she was at. It was late fall, and I believe Thanksgiving was the following week or so. Knowing she was trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her marriage I made an intentional point to back off of our chatting during that time as I didn’t want to be a distraction or influence in her decision making process.
Following the Christmas break, things never really got back to where they were. Kim seemed distant, messages went unanswered a large part of the time. Occasionally we’d get to chatting, but it was almost always platonic and never sexual at all.
The last time I saw Kim, she agreed to meet me for coffee under a promise that I wouldn’t push for anything more. It was an awkward meeting. I think I was desperately wanting to get back to our former status, and she was clearly heading a different direction. After coffee, I don’t know that we ever chatted again. I’ve looked her up from time to time wondering what ended up happening to her. She eventually divorced her husband and has since remarried.
