I looked over at you at the party. You were wearing a black dress with your legs out and heels on. I knew I shouldn’t. We were both attached at this point. We’d had a couple of close encounters in the past but certainly hadn’t seen each other in a while. Just some light flirting but nothing that went any further. You looked amazing. The dress hugged your figure and of course the heels emphasised all the right parts of your body.
I took a sip of my drink and sat alone watching as you got yourself something from the bar. I needed a break from socialising. It was fun but could be draining for a natural introvert like me. I noticed you make your order, smile at the barman, then watched the look on his face as your eyes held with each other for a little longer than a throwaway encounter normally would. Damn. Your Hazel eyes tended to have that affect on guys even when you were wearing your usual big, thick framed glasses. He turned away to get you your drink. You placed your elbows on the bar and lent forward just a little. This simple gesture pulled your dress even tighter and and brought out the shape of your ass just a little more than usual. Christ. You looked amazing. Just as you said a flirty goodbye to to the mesmerised barman. You turned around, looked briefly around the room and your eyes set on…me. Shit. Was I staring?
You cocked your head to one side, smiled and walked over. There was a knowing confidence in your step as the sound of your heels drew nearer and you held my gaze. My heart rate spiked and I felt just a little hot under the collar. I was jolted out of my socialising break a little faster than I had intended. No going back now….
“Hey, how are you?” you said.
“I’m good thanks. Long time no see”.
“It has been a while hasn’t it?”.
“Huh?”
You got in a little closer with that knowing, confident smile on your face. Did you know I was checking you out while you were at the bar? The party was loud and it was always a good excuse to close the gap between us.
“Say again?” you said.
The closeness made all the difference. It had been a few months since we’d seen each other but the spark was still there. You knew it and I knew it. I just seemed to find it a little less comfortable than you did. You seemed to enjoy it. We were both with our respective boyfriend and girlfriend now. But the closeness between us made things easier. I could now whisper into your ear.
“I said… It’s good to see you. You look amazing”.
“Thank you. I like your shirt”. You smiled that smile again.
I was just a little tipsy. It helped to calm my nerves and lower my inhibitions but I was still holding back.
“You said I look amazing”.
“You do. I noticed you at the bar” I said.
“What did you notice?”
I hesitated for a moment. But this was an obvious invitation to continue. Even if you were just having a little fun.
“Your dress… ”
“What did you like about my dress?”
I pulled briefly away from talking into your ear. Looked you in your eyes and held your haze. Those big, brown, beautiful eyes looking at me through your glasses. I gave my own knowing smile, leaned in and whispered “I noticed the way it hugs your figure. The way it accentuates your ass and…”
“And?”
“And made me think about what I’d do if it was just me and you in here”.
You pulled away again, squinted just a little, and your cheeks pulled up as you smiled. You lent back in and said “go on… “.
