Hello all,
after feedback from /r/sexover30 where I originally posted I decided to rewrite this post.
In 1998 I took over the Greyarchive, a sight for erotic fiction, it had been bounced about for about a year free site after free site, the original person couldn’t continue with it, this is where me and my wife came in, she wrote stories too.
We split the site into three parts, the Greyarchive erotic (fantasy, paranormal, scifi, anime and superhero) which I would run, edit, upload to daily, the Goldenarchive which my wife ran (same genre but non erotic) and the Whitearchive for realistic based erotica.
From 98 to 2009 pretty much updated daily with stories (6300 actual story parts on file atm).
The philosophy of the site was to be a haven for authors, I never charged a fee, never accepted any offers of buy out, sponsorship or adverts, me and my wife paid for it out of our own pocket (which is amazing once you know what was going on at the time) a lot of authors posted there and nowhere else, we even had a few well known authors using pseudonyms because what they wrote could never go on there main pen name (my wife actually kept the records of that and no,even the one I did know will never come to light) The rules were simply anything went as long as it was fiction and yes that meant authors were allowed who had no talent and what they wrote was crude and badly written but it was there right to erm well Write, constructive criticism was allowed but anyone flaming or griefing an author got banned from the site, I took a very pro-active stance on this, thus the reason a lot of authors posted to my site because I had there back.
I made many enemies back then, the GA was also the inspiration for fanfiction and Literotica unfortunately things went bad on two fronts, attacks on myself and my wife became more frequent, including a police actioned case where my wife’s life was threatened (threatening to poison her medication if I didn’t remove all adult stories from the site).
Now and then I asked for donations to help with issues going on but never made any money out of the site (at its peak in 2007 we were getting 150k unique visitors per day).
I was personally blamed for the loss of an RPG forum which too late I realised was based on a code that meant when I updated we lost 2 years of live rp.
At the same time my wife was getting worse, not many people knew but in 98 she was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer and the medication that kept it away would slowly kill her, by 2009 the stress, burn out and me being pretty much accused of every online crime under the sun got to the point I locked it down and stopped updating.
I couldn’t continue to fight for the authors, defend against personal attacks and look after an ill Wife, Paola still edited and looked after the Goldenarchive even on her worse days.
I kept the greyarchive. info but lost the .com and .org to spam sites.
What most didn’t know is I was primary carer for my wife all through this from 98-2018 24/7 and the only money coming in to the house was from benefits and disability, but we both loved writing and felt it was worth it.
Now for the reason behind this post, I recently found a 99% intact backup of the site from 2010 and another from 2008, finally remembered the passwords, I am going to bring the GA back up live, it may take a little while because it was written in basic HTML and the very least I need to do is protect all emails on the system.
But we should end up with roughly 4000+ stories back online some with 20+ parts updated and written over years about every subject possible.
As for Adamantium my wife, hopefully this link will explain. [https://imgur.com/gallery/JSggx0v](https://imgur.com/gallery/JSggx0v)

I hope you’re both okay!
Oh wow, I’m sorry about your wife. I hope everything works out, keep up the good work man, you’re doing a good job.
After looking into the site I own greyarchive .info, I am sorting out a SSL certificate, we have a forum.
:)
very nice ??
