Hello! I’m new to this sub reddit so here I go! Also, I know my grammar is abysmal, as is my spelling. Some critique and what you like about it would be greatly appreciated!
Rainy night
It was a hot summer night in the down town of the city. The lights from the skyscrapers in the distance seemed to beam burning lights as it faded into more subtle nuanced light in the smaller buildings. The air was filled with electricity, a light tingling jolt down your spine to give you goosebumps.
A couple were walking past a flickering neon sign, casually conversing.
“Fern, did you like the picnic idea? I know it’s not a fancy restaurant, but I thought it would be more personal”
Fern, a young slender woman in her mid 20’s, gave a big smile”
“I really enjoyed it Marlen! I never thought a picnic could be as fun as it was today.”
The few stars you could see were covered in a thick swarm of clouds. A few droplets precipitated and fell down
“Are we suppose to get rain?”
“I’m not sure…”
As sudden as the change of the next second, it began to pour outside. It was as if a monsoon had slammed the city. Each droplet was cool to the touch, and soothes the hot and humid weather that was before.
Marlen, realizing he was already soaked, looked up and laughed cheerfully. Fern looked at him and saw that he was living in the moment, and enjoying it. She had a big smile grow across her face too.
Marlen looked over and saw that she too, was in pure bliss. He put out his hand to give to her, and she took it as they looked up into the sky smiling.
They looked back at one another, then at their drenched clothing, and laughed.
“ I feel like soggy bread- let’s race back as wet loaves!”
Fern bolted down the sidewalk, and Marlen jumped to catch up.
“No fair, you got a head start!”
They both ran down the sidewalk laughing through the rain. Nearly out of breath, they made it to the front doorway of the apartment complex. Although catching their breath, they were still laughing.
The laughing subsided, and they looked at one another. The street was empty of moving cars and people, only the dampened street lamp and the few benches and trees on the sidewalk. The sound of the rain hitting the pavement and cars was the dominant noise their ears picked up. But right next to one another, they heard each other’s deep, gentle breaths. They walked into her apartment to really get a sense of one another.
Fern smelled Marlens deodorant, it wasn’t strong as it had once been before. A hint of his musk crept through, and had slowly began to hypnotize her further. Marlen could smell her shampoo, a sweet, light sent. But her odors came through as well.
They fell into one another’s gaze, and she begain to move her hands down to Marlens thigh. She pulled the heavy soaked shirt off of him and let it plop to the ground. They started to go faster, she would go up and down and up and down, moaning each time. She was extremely slippery now and was moaning loudly. He was moaning and in bliss, but looked like he was holding back. She went back up again, and he thrusted into her all the way. He went deep inside her and he came with a vigorous amount of pressure, moaning loudly as he did. She moaned loudly as well.
He started to move his body back, and a bit trickled out. She slowly descended on him once more, then removed herself from on him, to besides him. They gave each other panting in the bed, smiling. They looked deeply into one another’s eyes and smiled. Caressing eacithers face gently, their breathing slowed down to a calm pace. She turned around and snuggled against Marlen as the small spoon, and he put the blanket over the both of them. They embraced each other, only hearing their breathing, and the sound of the rain hitting the window.
