New to this forum. I am writing a story but looking for advice, reviews, etc. Is this the correct place for it? I am not a great writer and have never done this before. I figured I would take some of my fantasies and write them down. My first story is so far very detailed (which is kind of what I want), but was hoping for some advice. Any suggestions? Not looking for a bunch of trolls telling me how much I suck. I guess more like a mentor or something. Thanks

But I have to ask: you’re not writing for a best-seller, but for your own pleasure, isn’t it? If so, write the way **you** feel **your** fantasies should be.
r/eroticauthors has some good discussions on writing every so often. There are also some good blogs about romance/erotic fiction. It usually comes down to writing style and identifying an audience, if you even want one. I’d suggest reading a lot of the genre that you’d like to write. Amazon has a 3 month trial of Kindle Unlimited going on right now for 99¢, I signed up just to read the kind of smut I’d like to produce, and so far it has helped me create better scenes with my characters. I’ve always been an avid reader but, until recently, I was never interested in written erotica or porn. Now I’m a fan!
Admittedly, I haven’t been around very long, but I haven’t seen a whole lot of negative comments here. Usually, the negative comments I do see are about formatting (for the love of the gods please use paragraph breaks) and tagging (if it’s non-con tell us, for example).
If you’re insecure about your own writing, try sorting the subreddit content by Top (All Time). Might give you some inspirations of how to tweak your writing for the better.
But, I have to agree with other posters here. If it’s *your* fantasy, then write it how *you* want it. Enjoy yourself, I always do!
Thank you everyone for the comments. I’m still nervous about actually posting it. Once I hit a natural stopping point, I’ll work on posting it. I might start with some PM for feedback and see if it is even worth posting to the public. I’ll definitely check out some more stories and see what they have. I’ve read plenty but most are so short, you can’t even get into them. Unfortunately I’m a reader (novels) so I like a little background, plot, description. I don’t want to jump right into the sex.
It is my fantasy and it is unfolding exactly how I would want it to, but I’d like to be able to share it with others. I’m not looking to make money from it, but if others would enjoy it, then I’d gladly share. I just don’t want to deal with the trolls (unavoidable I know).
