Hey /r/eroticliterature,
Having read erotica for many years, I grew somewhat frustrated by the lack of a good search engine. So, I decided to make a site with all the stuff I’ve wanted! Current features:
* Tag-based searching, including allowing “or” tag statements (ex. show me all stories tagged with “bdsm” OR “bondage” OR “ropes”)
* Filtering on word count and posted site
* Save previous searches and easily browse latest stories for each search from the home page
* Favorite authors and stories! Get email updates when favorite authors add new stories, and when favorite stories get new chapters.
* Also allows for writing and hosting stories on the site itself.
It’s still pretty raw at this point, but if anyone has any thoughts, I’ll keep working on it!
One note: to save searches and favorite authors and stories, you need to create an account, but doing so doesn’t require an email. Just username and password is fine, and you just need an email if you want to get emailed updates for your favorites (or reset password, the usual stuff).
Current known deficiencies:
* The UI for searching tags. I’m not a great designer, but even to me it’s clear the tag searching needs improvement. Once you’ve added a tag, click the “OR” button to make the next tag an “or” addition instead of a new “and” requirement. I’ll try some different looks for it soon, let me know if you’ve got any thoughts!
* Right now only has 3 sites: literotica, lushstories, and mcstories, plus stories hosted on EroticaShelf.
* Some bad mobile layouts. I pretty much only read erotica on desktop, so haven’t yet done much to look at improving the mobile experience, but it’s on my short list.
So please, check it out, http://eroticashelf.com, and let me know what you think! What other sites would you like to see added? What other search filters would be useful? Leave comments here and I’ll reply, or you can PM me or email me at chris@eroticashelf.com.

Link doesn’t work.
I can see myself using that site quite a lot. The only problem I see with the tags is that they don’t combine. If I combine them I want stories that only feature those specific terms. Otherwiese it doesnt’t make sense to combine them in the first place. I see the potential tho and I like the simple layout.
This is so cool! How are you building the library? Are you curating this collection all by yourself or do you have other users helping by submitting their faves?
Hi!
Maybe I’m a bit late, but hopefully you’ll read me anyway!
I’d advice you set up an https alternative as well, even if the certificate is “autogenerated”, just to avoid ISPs looking into whatever floats my boat, or anyone else for that matter.
