[m/f] Reunited with an old friend for one unexpected night.

Rundown: He was my mentor of sorts when I was at my old school. I came back to visit a friend, we ran into each other, decided to catch up, and had this insane connection. We stayed in bed for an entire day without doing anything but talking, eating cake, and of course lots of rolling around. These were just some of the highlight moments of the bizarrely romantic day.

We sat crossed legged facing each other. It astounds me how some people shy away from eye contact. But he didn’t. We just looked at each other, passing the pipe and letting the smoke billow between us. His big green eyes peaked from underneath his strong brow. We used to do this all the time unintentionally. Sometimes I’d look over to see him staring at me, and neither of us would look away. It used to bother me. I could never tell what he was thinking. I still couldn’t.

“Take off your fucking panties,” he growled kissing my stomach. I sat up flustered. “I-I can’t.” Our hands fumbled as we grabbed at each other fiercely. I twisted my fingers in his dark brown hair and pulled. He wrapped his arm up my back and grabbed my shoulder throwing me down. I pushed back at him, getting on top. He let out a villainous laugh. I pushed on his shoulders, holding him down below me. He slid his hands down my locked arms, grabbing my hands. “You’re shaking.” I lifted my hands to my chest, “I-it’s nothing.” He sat up pushing my hair out of my face. “Hey, come here,” he said laying me next to him. “What’s wrong?” I traced my fingers along his chest. “It’s just that…” I paused not sure how to phrase it. “I’m here to visit someone I’m in a long distance thing-ish with. And I really really want this. And you. Just give me a second.” His eyes softened. He was looking at me as if I were totally ridiculous, “Hey, Ellie. Everything is okay. Take all the time you need. Or we can just stay here like this.” He leaned down to kiss me again.

We rolled around going for round three in the dim blue lighting only interrupted by my phone ringing for a second time. I sat up and reached towards it. “Oh, come on,” he sighed flopping onto his back. “I got to take this. It’s my mother and I didn’t tell he I arrived in Indianapolis yet.” I answered the phone, trying to make myself sound less flushed and flustered. “Hey Mom. Sorry I forgot to call I was—“ I momentarily paused. Michael had taken the liberty of pulling me in close and started to bite my shoulder. “Uhh. Yeah, sorry. I got in town a couple hours ago.” His hand slid down my side, and his teeth gripped harder. I turned to try and face him, murder eyes at the ready. Before I could mouth anything, he held a finger up to his lips, shushing me silently. He ran his hand along my cheek as I continued to pander to the relentless series of questions from my mother. There was a pause where Michael slid his index finger between my teeth. I bit down hard as his other hand slid inside me. I felt his smile stretch across his face as his lips continued to graze my shoulder. The bastard. I bit my lip trying to focus on getting my mother off the phone. “H-hey, Mom.” My voice hitched momentarily. “I’m with people. I’ll call you back tomorrow.” I hung up the moment she started to agree. I let the phone drop to the floor. “Fuck,” I breathed through a gritted smile.

I ran my fingers along his face. Maybe he didn’t like me literally poking at his eyes while he was trying to sleep, but I wanted to study it all. Everything about him. I had never really taken the time to before. Most people never do. I could feel myself still shaking a little. Suddenly my mind was everywhere at once. His big green eyes opened, staring straight at me. He pulled me in tighter, “Hey, breath.” He drew in long slow breaths along with me. I was so caught up in everything that was happening, I hadn’t realized how shallow my breathing had become. He stroked my hair and rested his mouth on my forehead. Silence was comfortable with him.

I press myself into his sleeping chest. It’s warm and broad, safe. Some people sleep so soundly. He didn’t move an inch as I studied everything the morning light illuminated through the blinds. Ever corner of the space made me want to shake him awake to ask a million different questions. A keyboard and guitar leaned against the wall in one corner. Trippy, red tapestries (aside from the one we accidentally ripped off the wall the night before) with Hindu symbols hung in the place of curtains. There were shelves of books to be seen in every direction and letters and drawings pinned up on the wall over his desk. I squinted, trying to read any of them without avail. I let my thoughts trail off until my eyes rested on his face. He was always so intensely calm. There was almost no difference to be seen on his face when he was asleep. I ran my hands through his hair kissing the middle of his nose. He shifted, still sleeping and wrapped himself tighter around me. This boy. We had spent so much time together, but now for the first time I believed to know him.
