Farah watched her bosses argue behind the class doors as she waited patiently at the secretary’s desk, the secretary had left before Farah got there so she couldn’t exactly make an appointment. She sat down on the small chair by the wall and casting a quick glance around to make sure she wasn’t being watched reached behind the desk and took another of the small mints. They were honestly not exactly great mints, they were pretty bad actually, but she had had to skip lunch and with only half an hour till she got off she was starving.
She crunched away at the mint as she watched her bosses argue, something about ethics she thought, but it was hard to hear through the glass. Couldn’t be the first time people had had to wait, not if the size of that mint jar was anything to go by. She had probably had a dozen now and it had barely made a dent. She snuck another one in her mouth and wondered how long it was going to be when the doors finally slammed open.
