We were having our normal movie night. Ever since Heather and I bought our condo, we reserved Friday night for us. People always joked we were like a married couple but a relationship never crossed our minds.
“Romero always shot the most interesting angles.” She in her spot and me in mine. It’s been this way for the past year. She was the easy choice for a roommate. We’ve known each other most of our lives. Hell, she lived with my family after the accident.
“Absolutely! I mean, yeah, his zombie movies are amazing. But this one. Monkey Shines. Incredible! Oh! How’s that guy you were seeing?”
“I could ask you the same thing.” She brushes her hand across my cheek mockingly.
“If I knew he was going to date you I wouldn’t had introduced you two.” I half laughed. I never intended for them to date. But I was happy Heather was with someone.
“Look, Arthur, if one of my ex-girlfriends wanted to date you I would feel weird too. You know when Shelly found out you were Bi she was interested.” She smiled understandingly It was her genuine expressions that caught me off guard at times. Just that pure honesty.
